West End Academy of Dance

Richmond, Virginia

In 2021, Team Henry was awarded the contract to build and develop a commercial out-parcel in Short Pump, one of Richmond's fastest-growing suburbs. This project included a lengthy rezoning process with local authorities followed by full site development of a three-quarter acre site and the installation of a new retention pond for the shopping center complex.

Upon completion of the site work, Team Henry constructed a new 7,000 square foot, two-story commercial building out of the ground.

This building was built-to-suit on a design-build basis for a dance studio tenant and featured over a thousand square feet of high-end dance studio flooring system, an office mezzanine, classroom space, Class-A restrooms and office areas, and a state-of-the-art high-efficiency HVAC system with upgraded medical-grade filtration.

The building exterior featured a full brick veneer and a custom-built decorative canopy designed to mimic the motion of a dancer.
